Sustainably farmed for nearly 700 years
The Begali Estate is situated in the beautiful Valpolicella area, between Pedemonte and the hills of Castelrotto,
near the historic city of Verona and the charming Garda lake.
The Begali Estate has always been family run, with each new generation proudly continuing the Begali winemaking traditions.
It was Giordano who began producing wine at the end of the and Second World War,
and it was his son and daughter-in-law Lorenzo and Adriana who sold the first Begali Amarone in 1986.
Today the tradition continues with their children Giordano and Tiliana.

The vineyards stretch over 8 hectares and are nestled amongst cherry orchards and green rolling hills in a small hamlet called Cengia.
This name stems from a local type of rock that dominates the hillside and contributes to making the Begali wines so rich in aromas.
This is why the wines they produce are so rich in aromas and typical flavors of the fertile land and reflect the harmony and the singular characteristics of this area. They are very determined and take great care in their winemaking process, from the vineyard to the cellar.
This promotes their on going efforts to improve quality while respecting tradition.

They use a blend of the most important grapes of Valpolicella:
Corvina (and Corvinone), Rondinella and other autochthonous varieties.
Their most important production - Amarone Monte Ca" Bianca - is named after the historic White Mansion at the top of the highest hill in the vineyards.
The roots of these vines extend almost 100 meters into the deepest cellars of the winery.
