Alcesti, a family-owned and operated winery located in the Marsala growing region of Sicily, Italy, uses the traditional tried and true techniques of wine making of their ancestors blended with the state of the art modernizations that make award-winning wines. Gianfranco Palladino, along with his sister, wife, mother and father, proudly share in the operation of this winery.
The Palladino’s love their land and roots and have taken the responsibility to communicate the beauty of Sicily through their wines. Each vintage shows emotion. Every vintage is different, so their goal is to tell, interpret and celebrate, year after year, the peculiarities of their grapes. The rich soils of the vineyards, the hard work and care, along with the Sicilian sun, allow the roots of the vines to grow and produce exquisite grapes. The 30 hectares of land that lie between Marsala, Mazara and Salemi, with altitudes ranging from 100 to 280 meters, express the typical Sicilian territory of vineyards. The winery reflects their hospitality, their desire to demonstrate and respect the environment.
