100% Monastrell (Mourvedre)
Age of vines Average 40 years!
This wine is ripe and juicy with a firm, bold structure!
90 Points Vinous!
"Opaque ruby. Dark berries, coconut and a hint of spiciness on the powerfully scented nose.
In a round and generous style, showing very good depth and appealing sweetness to the blackberry and cherry cola flavors. Soft, even tannins add gentle grip to a long, smooth finish that leaves hints of vanilla and dark fruits behind. Raised in a combination of French and American oak barrels." - Josh Raynolds
Our Thoughts on this wine.....
The nose is bright with notes of sweet black cherry and cocoa that leads into a soft, round mid-palate with hints of tobacco and dried leaves.
The fruit is held up by vibrant acidity and light tannin.
The finish is long, soft, and juicy with medium bodied very fine tannins.
It has great purity, precision and definition; it"s elegant and fresh, highly drinkable with length that begs you to have another glass.
Naturally pairs well with any hearty dish, from hamburgers and pizza
to short ribs, veal, pork, lamb, sausage, game and grilled meats.
This wine is highly appreciated by both the novice and the connoisseur.

A bit about Fuente-Álamo, a town in beautiful surroundings ....
Located in the southeast of the province of Albacete, where wide valleys cultivated with fruit trees and semi-arid plains that base their wealth onimpressive fields of vineyards, olive groves and almond trees, to the mountainous and humid areas of its southern part, where the landscape becomes wild and the fertile fields.
The mixture of cultures in a region of crossroads like this has given rise to a singular gastronomic richness.
Fuente-Álamo gets its name from an old fountain located next to a large poplar, both elements disappeared long ago. During the Bronze Age it was an important enclave as a confluence area in the lower course of the Mundo River, caves such as those of Mainetico and Mainetón already appear as Neolithic and Early Bronze settlements. We can also find the Colleras, 7 km west of the town, a series of geological cracks in limestone strata that are popularly called bullpens, where Neolithic rooms and utensils have been found.
