 Today  is Thursday, 8 April

A Tradition unlike any other!
The 2021 Masters Tournament is the 85th edition of the Masters Tournament
and the first of the men"s four major golf championships to be held in 2021.
It is being held from April 8–11 at its historic home, Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.

In 2020 the tournament was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and held later in the year behind closed doors.
Spectators are set to return in 2021, although in reduced numbers and there will be social distancing measures in place.
For the second year in succession, the traditional Par-3 Contest will not be held due to these restrictions.

Participation in the Masters Tournament is by invitation only, and the tournament has the smallest field of the major championships.
There are a number of criteria by which invites are awarded, including all past winners, recent major champions, leading finishers in the previous years" majors, leading players on the PGA Tour in the previous season, winners of full-point tournaments on the PGA Tour during the previous 12 months, leading players in the Official World Golf Ranking and several leading amateurs.
By the end of 2020, 84 players had earned an invitation based on these criteria and were expected to compete.

You will definitely need to have the cellar fully stocked for a weekend of cheering on your favorite competitor.
While there will be some patrons in attendance at the tournament (pronounced tuna-mint),
the opportunity for the classic roars that herald an exceptionally strong effort by one of the invitees, will be absent.

Come by, in your own Green Jacket if you choose, or call us to arrange a curbside pickup
and we"ll be happy to help you in your selections

Bodegas Bressia

2018
Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina

Lush and full bodied with great structure.
Just delicious!

Points James Suckling
"Aromas of ripe blackcurrants, stewed cherries, chocolate, charred bark and dried herbs.
It’s full-bodied with firm, creamy tannins.
Ripe, rounded finish, yet reserved and tight.
Nicely bitter at the end. Drink or hold."

The vineyard is 3,083 feet above sea level, and the grapes are grown on 25 year old vines in the Lujan de Cuyo district of Mendoza, close to Walter’s bodega in the rain shadow of the Cordon del Plata. Grapes were harvested by hand. Walter Bressia"s aim was to produce wine that reflects the true essence of his unique terroir, and this is a blend of 5 different parcels of grapes. Fermentation took place between 25-27°C. 80% of the blend is aged for 18 months in French and American oak. There was no filtration and no fining.

Our Thoughts on this wine.....

Pure and powerful, yet elegant and aromatic, this is a deeply compelling Malbec.
It exhibits beautiful bright violet aromas and ripe black fruits.
Plum and cherry fruit aromas combine with leather and spice notes
to produce aromas and flavors of hints of  dark, red cherry and sweet spices.
Lush, full yet balanced acidity to deliver a long finish.

Walter Bressia in his own words….
At the beginning of 2003, together with my wife and children, we started a family business under the concept of "family wines",
this being the result of a long experience and trajectory as an oenologist making wines in the national and international market.

It is a small project whose main goal is the limited and personal sale of small batches of wine and grappa of the highest quality.
Each bottle is unique, so one can enjoy the pleasure offered by the particularity of each vintage.
At Bodega Bressia we use the minimalist concept for the production of all our wines, which is considered the minimum human intervention supported by adequate technology. We have a proportionate capacity of French and American oak barrels that allow us to design the wines with a very careful and balanced style in its concentration in wood. The aging in barrels is carried out in an underground cellar located 6 meters deep that houses 340 barrels. The oak aging is done in a subterranean cellar which is located six meters below the surface and houses 500 oak barrels.
