Dear Subscriber

Tomorrow is NATIONAL POW/MIA RECOGNITION DAY

In the United States, National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed annually on the third Friday in September.

Every year since 1989 by presidential proclamation, The United States remembers and honors those men and women of the Armed Forces who remain missing in action or who are prisoners of war. We are reminded as a nation to rededicate our efforts to bring our patriots home and to care for our military families awaiting word of their loved ones.

Around the nation, events and ceremonies are held recognizing those who are POWs, MIA, and their families. Loved ones and supporters gather for candlelight vigils, walks and other events to show honor and support of their sacrifice. Join a service near you and show your support. Visit pow-miafamilies.org for more information.

We looking forward to fantastic weekend of good wines and beers, great sports to watch (kids, college and pro!) and time with friends and family.
Enjoy every moment.

WindRacer Chardonnay
Russian River 2014

Sunshine and Chardonnay
what a great pairing!

Very limited production, this wine is simply beautiful - elegant, yet powerful.

We featured this vintage earlier this past spring and even with the cold weather sold out quickly.
Now, with the weather finally perfect and crabs still in season this wine could be your new favorite - especially at this price!

93+ Points!  Robert Parker The Wine Advocate
"The 2014 Chardonnay Russian River Valley has lemongrass, orange blossoms and cedar notes over a core of white peaches, grapefruit and green mango. Medium to full-bodied with a gorgeously creamy textured and mouth-filling stone fruit and citrus layers, it has a racy backbone and a very long finish, with some toasty notes coming through."

90 Points! The Wine Enthusiast

"Aged in French oak for more than a year (20% new), this is a full-bodied and layered wine. Strong aromas of French butter and baguette dominate the nose. The midpalate offers more brightness, revealing high-toned accents of apple blossom, lemon and mango wrapped in tart acidity before returning to the richness of crème brûlée on the close."

Our Thoughts.........

Bright aromas of meaty apple, shortbread, and lemon zest couple with lovely flavors of Asian pear, marzipan, and crème brûlée to create a rich wine that proudly boasts fresh acids and a long finish. The classic flavors and profile of the Russian River Valley shine through this beautifully integrated wine. Pair with seared or roast shellfish like lobster, scallops and steamed crabs!  Also simply roast chicken, dishes that include wild mushrooms, slow roast tomatoes, fish, especially Sea bass and anything with fennel. Yum!
