We"re very pleased to welcome Giulio Piazzini, winemaker for Tenuta di Tavignano from the Marche" region of Italy to the shop for an evening tasting wines of classic quality and modern finesse.
Located near Ancona, the capital of the Marche region, Tavignano sits on a beautiful 25 hectare (about 60 acres) site about 20 miles inland of the Adriatic Sea. Their fruit is all estate-produced, hand-picked, and soft-pressed.
They are currently in the process of becoming certified organic, utilizing sustainable agriculture methods in their vineyards (leguminous cover cropping, low-till, minimal chemical applications).
